A rich program of activities from the Boka Olive Growers Association (Boka Kotorska – Montenegro) for 2025/26: Olive growing school “Olive harvest in the Bay of Boka”, “Every village has its own dish” and “Boka Olive”, a large exhibition selling olive oil from local producers

1. School of olive growing – in the first half of October.

Lecture and workshop on harvesting, transport and processing of olive fruit in order to obtain Extra virgin olive oil of the highest quality.

The lecture is intended primarily for olive oil producers, but also consumers and distributors. The goal is to increase knowledge and get familiar with modern methods from harvesting to oil packaging, so the invitation will also be sent to distributors, beginner olive growers, millers, agricultural farms that have olive oil from their own production on site in their tourist offer.

2. “Olive harvest in Boka Bay”

Every year since 2003. we organize the olive harvest at one of the best olive growers where we gather, pick the olives, take them immediately to the mill, that is, we follow the process from harvesting, transport to the mill, obtaining the oil through the cold pressing process…

The goal of this event is the manifestation of modern principles of obtaining olive oil of the highest quality and motivation for all olive growers to improve their production and set an example for young, especially young olive growers. In the end, and no less important, is the gathering of all actors in the original production, from producers, consumers, representatives of local administration, tourist organizations, tourists…

3. “Every Village has its own Dish”

Traditional food and dishes of the Mediterranean diet, typical of the villages in Boka Kotor, the coastal part of Montenegrotipical for the meditteranean willages. A two-day event of an educational and promotional nature, contains lectures on the sustainable production of olive oil for healthy food in the function of preserving traditions in the way of the dishes preparation and consumption in Boka Kotorska.

The target group is olive growers and oil producers, consumers, distributors, students and o In the promotional part of event there will be competition of selected teams (willage’s representatives) who will participate in cooking and serving selected traditional dishes. Each team will present its village and fight for a symbolic prize. Everything will be covered by the media ther interested parties. A large number of visitors is expected, which is why we want to offer tourist content even outside the tourist season.

4. “Boka Olive”

Large sales exhibition of olive oil from domestic producers in towns of Boka Kotorska as the touristic offer during the summer months when the tourist season is at its peak.

It was mostly an event of a local character that directly connected domestic producers and consumers in the best way: presentation, tasting, information. Thanks to the cooperation with local administrations, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Tourism, tourism organizations, representatives of scientific institutions and all stakeholders in olive production, this event will become international next year. The three-day content of the presentation of producers of olive oil and healthy food, agricultural machinery and advanced techniques and technologies, educational workshops will provide new knowledge and experience to olive growers. A panoramic tour of Boka in the Bay of Kotor and a visit to the best producers will present Boka as a desirable oleo-tourist destination.

As part of the content, the presentation of ReCoMed is planned.
