MEDITERRANEAN CONTEST FOR THE PROMOTION OF OLIVE CULTIVATION
Thanks to the location, the temperate climate and the fertile soil of the Mediterranean, agricultural products of great nutritional value, such as table olives and olive oil, thrive in every country. The aim of the contest is to protect the cultivation and thus the quality of these valuable products for the local economies and societies. The contest invites the participation of remarkable projects and actions to promote and disseminate olive cultivation and encourage its development.
OLIVE OIL & MEDITERRANEAN CUISINE CONTEST
Food Blogger “A MENU FOR THE MEDITERRANEAN DIET”
The aim is to promote the Mediterranean Diet, through the best recipes of the food traditions of the Mediterranean countries and also through the traditional cuisine and local products.
For RECOMED, the contest is not only an effective tool to promote the olive oil heritage, but also an opportunity to increase the visibility of its member cities by increasing the number of visitors to our website.
The recipes that participate in the contest are published in the ReCOMed Recipes section. The winners are selected by an international jury and are rewarded with a participation in the “OLIOLIVA” event held in Imperia in the month of November each year or in a similar event in another member city. (travel expenses are covered, possibility of a presentation at a booth or with a cooking demonstration).
The contest is open to interested parties belonging to a ReCOMed member country and is announced well in advance in the “News and Events” section of the website where the regulations are attached.
The event is promoted on the websites and social networks (Facebook etc.) of ReCOMed members and members are asked to promote the contest to national food bloggers, opinion leaders and stakeholders in the food and wine sector.
