Up to 13 regions in Spain are on alert for rain, snow, wind and adverse sea conditions. The storm Monica is also being experienced in rural areas, as the olives in most zones have been burgeoned very early.

In fact, even the A-6 between León and Lugo was cut off due to snow and there were several accidents in Galicia, AP-9 or Madrid with an accident involving more than 30 vehicles affected on the A-3 due to heavy hail.
The forecast is that this bad weather will remain in force on Sunday although it will subside and give a more stable situation, according to the State Meteorological Service.

Snowfall also keeps more than twelve roads in Castilla y León belonging to the state network and located in the provinces of Ávila, Burgos, León (the province most affected), Zamora and Segovia affected.
The Balearic Islands, Murcia, the coast of Alicante and Valencia provinces and the city of Ceuta are also on yellow level waring due to the risk of rain, strong winds and sea disturbance.
Andalusia, mainly on the coast and in the province of Granada, is affected by rainfall where between 60 and 80 litres have fallen in the last 12 hours.

The capital of Córdoba has suffered an extreme case of wind that has brought down several trees or two palm trees in the Patio de los Naranjos de la Mezquita. No injuries have been recorded, although there has been property damage.
To these two cases must be added general cases of flooding due to river flooding that has affected roads and houses in Granada, Málaga and Cádiz.
