The biggest question mark hangs over Tunisia, where 270,000 tons are forecast, while all market participants agree that it will exceed 450,000 tons.
The European Commission’s recent report has been published, raising many serious questions about its accuracy regarding this year’s 2025/26 production.
The biggest question concerns Tunisia, where it forecasts 270,000 tons, while all market participants and the first months of the harvest agree that production will exceed 450,000 tons.
And while the Commission significantly underestimates Tunisia, it overestimates Turkey, giving it 290,000 tons, while actual estimates are between 200,000 and 220,000 tons. We also see a slight overestimation for Greece, for which it forecasts 220,000 tons, while it is doubtful whether it will even reach 200,000 tons.
