As part of the 7th Didim Olive Festival, the official opening of the Farmers’ Training Center will take place, an initiative of particular importance to the local farming community and the wider region. The new Center aims to be a modern space for education, training, and support for producers, promoting knowledge exchange, innovation, and the implementation of best practices in the agricultural sector.
The opening ceremony will take place on the first day of the Festival, Friday, October 10, at 3:30 p.m., and is expected to attract the interest of stakeholders, producers, and friends of the olive tree.
It is worth noting that the Didim Agricultural Chamber officially represents Turkey in the international network RECOMED (Network of Mediterranean Olive-Producing Cities), and currently holds the presidency of the Network through its president, Mr. Hilmi Yildirim. The Chamber’s participation in this initiative further strengthens transnational dialogue and cooperation on olive culture and cultivation, which are a common point of reference for all Mediterranean peoples.
