The “Walk among the Olive Trees” returns for its 9th edition on Sunday, October 26, 2025. The event, eagerly awaited and appreciated by the general public and stakeholders of the olive oil sector, takes place annually in over 100 Italian Olive Oil Towns combining the valorization of the olive-growing areas of Italy with the promotion of a powerful and universal message of peace. In an international context marked by tensions, the olive tree becomes an even greater symbol of unity and hope, and our Association intends to promote this age-old, tangible and highly symbolic culture. Participating in the Walk, whose theme for 2025 is “Let’s Cultivate Peace”, will mean to take the opportunity to join a moment of pleasant conviviality and of mutual learning. Numerous events will enrich the Walk: hiking trails, bike rides, and horseback excursions that also include tastings of olive oil and/or typical products, visits to olive oil mills, mini-tours of the area, and fun and educational activities, involving children, families, youths, and adults. The purpose of the event is to discover and understand the olive-growing culture through the knowledge of the historical, landscape, and environmental aspects of its territory. The event is organized in collaboration with the Italian National Union of the Local Cultural Promotion Associations (UNPLI).
