According to the Statutes and the Network’s management rules, the presidency passes from country to country. Since January 2025 the Presidency is held by Turkiye (Didim Chamber of Agriculture).<\/p>\n

Distinguished RECOMED Members,<\/p>

First of all, I would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you for nominating, supporting, and deeming me worthy of the important position of President of the RECOMED following our General Assembly held in Malta on November 23, 2024. Taking on this role is a great honor for me and, at the same time, a significant responsibility in serving the olive, which is a shared heritage of the Mediterranean region.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The olive is an indispensable part of Mediterranean culture; it holds a deep-rooted place both on our tables and in our cultural heritage. This network has a valuable mission to protect, develop, and carry forward the olive culture and the value of olive oil. The olive, which unites the countries, peoples, and cultures of the Mediterranean, stands out as a symbol of peace, friendship, and solidarity.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The aim of this network is not only to sustain olive and olive oil production but also to strengthen the solidarity of Mediterranean culture through the olive.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

I would like to emphasize once again that we need your contributions, support, and collaboration to continue this valuable mission. Together, we will promote sustainable agricultural practices, implement new projects, contribute to the development of the olive sector, and strengthen cultural ties among Mediterranean communities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

I have full confidence that by working together, we will overcome all challenges. With your support, trust, and the wise power of the olive tree, I wholeheartedly believe that we will achieve even greater things in the future. I thank you all and would like to express my commitment to working with all my strength to fulfill this duty in the best possible way.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Once again, I sincerely thank you for entrusting the presidency of the RECOMED to T\u00fcrkiye and to myself. I hope that our cooperation will continue to grow stronger and more productive. Together, we will ensure that the olive tree continues to flourish as a symbol of peace and friendship in every corner of the Mediterranean.<\/span><\/p>
